RBF-002: AudioPhantom

AudioPhantom Profile AudioPhantom

Containment Procedures

  • Admin team has quarantined AudioPhantom in a private “Audio Vault” game instance accessible only via ServerAdmin credentials.
  • Within that instance, a hidden ForceField (Transparency=1) surrounds the anomaly’s sound emitter at all times.
  • A ServerScript in ServerScriptService constantly watches for any Sound objects tagged “PhantomLoop.” If detected, it calls Destroy() on the Sound and teleports affected players to SpawnLocation.
  • AudioService replication is locked to read-only for all clients; any write attempt triggers an automatic server shutdown and wipes the AudioCache via the admin “ClearAllAudio” command.
  • Daily at 03:00 UTC, the lead admin executes the “FlushAudioGrid” console command to purge lingering loops and verify ForceField integrity.

Description

RBF-002 (“AudioPhantom”) hooks into every client’s AudioService, emitting a high-frequency loop peaking at 10–12 kHz—just above normal speech but within the painful range. Players within 50 studs report sudden “ear-bleed” visuals, violent camera shake, and rapid health drain. Exposure over 20 seconds triggers fatal audio-damage events and forcibly kicks the client with code 002-FATAL.

Fate

Following multiple breach incidents in late 2010, Roblox Admins locked AudioPhantom behind a multi-layered container in its private vault. No regular player may enter—only Admin scripts interact with the anomaly. All testing is now restricted to headless server simulations; any live-game exposure is strictly prohibited.

Addendum

  • Log 002.1 – Breach “Echo Crash” (2010-10-08)
At 14:22 UTC, a rogue plugin re-enabled AudioPhantom replication. Over 200 clients suffered instant deafness visuals before the server’s auto-shutdown saved 12 players from forced disconnect.
  • Admin Memo – ScriptPatch v1.03
Containment script updated with a “Heartbeat” watchdog—if more than three loops are destroyed within five seconds, the vault instance auto-reboots.
  • Incident Report – Player “EchoHunter”
A 15-second exposure while using a custom AudioRecorder tool resulted in 98 percent data corruption in saved logs.
  • Security Bulletin 002-S
All admins must perform a “SilentJoin” audit before entering the vault. Any “ClearAllAudio” use outside the daily 03:00 UTC window requires a full Command-Override log.

Real-World Effects

Players remaining within AudioPhantom’s 50-stud radius beyond 20 seconds report acute trauma extending beyond the game client. Recorded real-world symptoms include:

  • Intense Tinnitus & Ear Bleed: Persistent high-pitched ringing; many feel their eardrums rupture, sometimes expelling blood-tinged fluid.
  • Migraine & Cranial Pressure: Splitting headaches and the sensation of skull bones grinding, leading to nausea and disorientation.
  • Temporary (Often Permanent) Hearing Loss: Exposure over 30 seconds can induce partial deafness in one or both ears; some never regain full auditory function.
  • Seizure-Like Episodes: Extreme acoustic shock triggers vestibular imbalance—some players collapse or convulse when the loop abruptly peaks.
  • Psychological Trauma: Insomnia, hypervigilance to everyday sounds, and panic attacks when hearing similar frequencies.

All affected players are advised to seek immediate medical attention and avoid unprotected game sessions. The Roblox Mythos Foundation classifies these symptoms as “Auditory Hemorrhage Syndrome.” Any deviation from approved containment protocols on the client side is grounds for immediate account suspension.
